REFLEXOLOGY
WHAT IS REFLEXOLOGY?
Reflexology: (Definition)
-
Helps circulation
-
Creates relaxation in the body
-
Helps create and sustain homeostasis in body

Will reflexology help me?
I do not cure, diagnose or prescribe. Reflexology is a very individual treatment which is tailored to you as a whole person, taking into account both physical and non-physical factors that might be affecting your well being.
Reflexology helps the body restore its balance naturally. Usually, after a treatment your tension may be reduced and you might feel relaxed. You might also notice yourself sleeping better and find your mood and sense of well-being improving.
With ever increasing levels of stress in everyday life, it is important for people to take more responsibility for their own healthcare needs. Reflexology may be one of the ways to mitigate the stresses of modern life.
What happens when I go for a treatment?
A medical history will be requested on your first treatment, and you will be asked to sign a consent form for treatment. This information will be kept confidential.
The room will be dimly lit with soft music playing in the background if you choose. You may sit in a recliner or lay on a massage table, whichever is more comfortable for you. After cleaning your feet I will use my hands to apply pressure to the feet, lower leg, hands, or face, depending on the type of reflexology chosen. You may feel areas of transient discomfort during the treatment, but generally the experience should be relaxing. Treatments are usually 1 hr. Unless other duration is requested.
I will then recommend a course of treatments based on your health needs.
How will I feel after a reflexology treatment?
It is useful to give feedback after your treatment. This in turn will help me to tailor a treatment plan specific to your needs. After one or two treatments your body may respond in a very noticeable way. Most people note a sense of well-being and relaxation; however, sometimes people report feeling lethargic, nauseous or tearful, but this is part of the healing process. By activating your reflex points, I am essentially “waking up” your body to work properly. So it is actually a good thing and normal if you feel a little under the weather after a session. But don’t worry this doesn’t happen too often. With rest and by drinking fluids you will feel better in no time.

What is Chakra Balancing?
During a chakra balancing session you will get to relax on the massage table with a warm blanket, soothing music playing in the back ground and soft lighting. The session will begin by opening and awakening all 7 chakra centers using stones and energy. We will then work together to find any blockage of energy and through different techniques work to get your energies flowing properly.
What are Chakras?
The Physical Chakras
The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit word for “wheel,” and can also be described as a "circle" or "vortex." In the spiritual community, chakras are most commonly understood to be the energy centers of your body. The chakras hold the keys to health, happiness, and success, and can assist you with anything from feeling safe and secure, to accessing Divine guidance and unconditional love, and even manifesting your vision so you can fulfill your life’s true purpose. When our chakras are out of whack and not running at the right frequency we can get sick, stressed, depressed, etc.
Root Chakra
Your first chakra, or Root Chakra, is your connection to the Earth and the foundation of your being. Based in the Earth element and focused on your physical identity, the first chakra is oriented to self-preservation; the greatest obstacle here is fear. Do you feel you have the right to be here? Do you love your body?
Sacral Chakra
Your second chakra, or Sacral Chakra governs your ability to feel your emotions and experience pleasure. The element is water, as fluid as your emotional identity. The biggest obstacle here is guilt. Are you comfortable feeling pleasure? Do you embrace your sexuality and sexual identity?
Solar Plexus Chakra
Your third chakra, or Solar Plexus Chakra is your power center, and gives you the ability to transform. The solar plexus generates the element of fire, as in the fiery nature of the planet Mars with which it is associated. This is where you define yourself, and the obstacle to overcome is shame. When out of balance, do you tend to overload on starchy carbs? Are you attracted to yellow gemstones, like amber and topaz? Tap into your inner-strength, overcome your fears, and live the life you were born to lead.
Heart Chakra
Your fourth chakra, the Heart Chakra is the home of love and balance. Here the element is air, and the path to your social identity and self-acceptance. Are you blocked by grief? Do you feel worthy of love? Are you in balance within yourself and with others? Does the smell of lavender bring you peace? Are you attracted to emeralds and jade? Experience the healing that is a product of unconditional love, forgiveness, and compassion.
Throat Chakra
The fifth chakra, or Throat Chakra is the center of communication and creativity. The element is ether or sound, which is behind your right to speak your truth and be heard as you orient toward self-expression. The challenge is to go beyond the lies you tell others and yourself. Transform your life through the power of focused intent and manifestation.
Third Eye Chakra
The sixth chakra, or Third Eye Chakra holds your ability to visualize and manifest your vision. Here the element we work with is Light. We can see into the mirror and reflect on ourselves and our archetypal identity. Are you stuck in illusion—the biggest challenge of the 6th chakra?
Crown Chakra
Your seventh chakra, or Crown Chakra is where you connect to your divinity. Here you come to the knowledge of self through the element of thought, and identify with the universe. The obstacle here is attachment. Can you go beyond your outdated beliefs? Can meditation bring you closer to a more expanded crown chakra?
